Appliance question

Posted by Tom from Wisc. on November 4th, 2003 05:42 AM

I have a Kenmore electric dryer(7 yrs. old), that has stopped heating.

It had stopped about 3 weeks ago so I decided it needed its yearly cleaning too and opened it up to check the element. The element is in great condition, had continuity so I checked for loose wire connections, good there. Fired it up and it is working again.

Now 3 weeks later, it stopped heating again. I am thinking maybe the Thermo cutoff on the top of the heating element or the thermostat on the lower half of element?? Any ideas?? Thx in advance.
