> My Polybutylene, Poly Butyl, Plastic, PB, Quest/Qwest pipe is leaking or brittle, Find Help Here! by Handyman on 10/26/2004

We have been renting a home for 4 years in which we are buying the home and waiting to close at anytime. Our hot water heater is in our attic, of all places, and we've had nothing but trouble with leaking pipes. We now have a water stain on our ceiling and soaking wet carpet. We've also had problems with our toilets and water pressure throughout the house, including our washing machine. Our plumber told us about the law suit regarding Quest piping, and we would like to find out what to do about this situation being that our entire house has this kind of piping. PLEASE Help Us so we can get this problem taken care of, hopefully before we close on this house. Thank you very much - Sean Smellie
