Smelly fridge

Bought a new Maytag fridge couple weeks ago,plugged it in,in a coulple of days it got that old fridge smell,you know the smell when you have used a fridge for awhile then you clean it out,unplug it and leave the door shut,(supposed to leave doors open)well thats the smell this fridge has got,gets in the food,even threw some out.Come to find out fridge was new but sat at the sears dealer for a year before i came along and bought it.I think it had been running at the dealers (probably for demo)then shut off and kept the doors shut.When i bought it i did look in the fridge but of course didnt stick my head inside and smell,after all it was new,(i didnt know at the time it was old stock)Sears tech is comming tomorrow to look at it,regardless of what he sez should i insist on a new fridge or is it possable he can get the smell out and lf he can will it only mask the odor then after awhile the odor will come back.Just like a old fridge with this odor i dont think once you have it that it will ever disapear,what do you think?
