Dryer fixed??

** turns out the thermostat on the heating element wore out and stayed in the open position (no continuity.) **

Thermostat or 'thermal fuse"? (They're two different things)

If the thermal fuse was open, it is usually a sign that there is a problem with the dryer somewhere which should be looked into. The most common cause of a dryer thermal fuse opening is a plugged, partially plugged or poorly installed (see the following link) dryer vent.

LINK > How long can my dryer vent be?

Such a condition should be checked and corrected as dryers can pose a very real potential for being a fire hazard if not maintained properly!

** I replaced it and everything is rockin' again. **

Glad to hear it, hopefully it was just a thermostat failure and not a sign of other problems.
