I am interested in installing a backup pump. I bought a battery type last night and I'm afraid to install it. There are the typical lead acid battery warnings about the explosive gases. I have a forced air gas furnace in the basement. The furnace will be 30 feet from the battery.
Also I am concerned about the pump capacity. I have a 2600 sq ft house with 2 car attached garage. I have only lived here for 9 months and during the spring it would frequently run every 10 minutes or so.
