Direct vent gas fireplace

I am searching for a direct vent gas fireplace and I was looking for comments on different manufacturers and the most realistic fire. I live in New England and want something appropriate for an antique home. I am willing to spend up to $3K. (Moderator- I am new to this board and if you have a suggestion on how to search the archives easier than day by day for the past 15 months in relation to this subject- then your help would be greatly appreciated.)
