"anhydrous bender"- that sounds like an ammonia system, not something for the faint of heart and downright dangerous in the wrong hands. Two safer methods of curving wood are strip laminating, and steam bending. If you have newsreader access, try the Deja news archives of rec.woodworking, lots of info on both subjects there.
