repairing cracks in Saltillo tile

Posted by Cass on November 17th, 2003 09:55 AM

We recently discovered 2 long cracks in our 1-yr old presealed Saltillo tile floors--both run the length of the room. This is a new house, so we knew this might happen, but we aren't sure if it's best to go through the hassle of replacing many dozens of tiles (and trying to match the tiles and grout) or if we should file the (hairline) crack with a tinted epoxy, which may be difficult to match due to the color variation in each tile. Any advice on which way to go, or can we just leave the cracks as they are and hope the cracks don't widen?
