I have a home that was built in 1965. When we removed some of the carpet and padding, we noticed that there were 9x9 tiles underneath. This is throughout the house. They are brown, tan speckled tiles, pop up easily with a black glue underneath on the subfloor. One room upstairs is completely exposed (no carpet or padding now). How long do the fibers remain airborne and should we keep that room closed? I'm sure we have been exposed now...
