stove piping

I am having my stove piping replaced, in a false chimney, (wood surround) and the dealer is suggesting that he use flex tube stainless steel piping, solid tube with no connections. It seems to me that the corrugations might be counter productive, holding excessive tar, etc> Also, how strong / rigid is it??? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
