go to local paint store, not McHomeCenter a real paint store

use name brand like ben moore and ask counterman at paint store for primer and paint recomendations

i would personally never paint brick as it has a beauty of its own that is simply destroyed by painting. unless it was real ugly designer bricks . red building bricks are nice and should be left alone, even more beautyfull as they get a patina over the years
