Electrical trouble

Well Mike, before calling an electrician, you could do a little careful troubleshooting. When you reset the breaker, did it trip again ? To be safe, turn the breaker off. Try unplugging the Opener, and the extension cord that is being use to power it up. Now reset the breaker. If it doesn't trip right away, check the outlets in the garage for power. If they do not have power, you will probably need an electrician to find and fix the short in the wall. If they do then you have narrowed down your problem to either the opener, or the extension cord that it is plugged in with.
