I curently have a 20'x10' kitchen and want to extend it to 20'x18' but I would need to remove the outside bearing wall. My house is a single story ranch. What sould I do to carry the weight 20' across without any posts in the way. Do I need an exposed beam across my ceiling or can I inset it so the ceiling can carry through from existing to addition. PLEASE HELP ME!! Thank you James
