two things to do - first is to see if you have a water filter cartridge and replace it! Some fridges have them on the back or inside. You could also have one in the water line where ever that leads to like under the sink. If you don't find one and your water tastes awful from other faucets get one. Next is to remove the whole icemaker and thoroughly clean everything with soap water.
