I bought a new house with Formica countertops, and in less than 2 months of normal use the countertops are seriously scratched. The product is just plain lousy. The company doesn't warranty their laminates against scratching, and the customer service rep I filed my complaint with advised me not to slide anything, such as a dish, across the counter. My solution is to replace the countertops -- definitely NOT Formica!
