I am surprised...granite is very resistant to scratches...try getting a polishing compound you can purchase it at a automotive store.apply with a soft cloth using a circular motion if this doent help call in a professional...or since it is only a year old maybe you should speak to the person who sold you the countertop it may have a warranty good luck
