for your information,mr dp,I am a flooring contractor from central jersey for 21 years.any contractor,who is reputable,will give free estimates.A true professional will be honest with a homeowner and tell them it is possible for them to do it themselves and 99% of the time you will get the job anyway! I have done this for years and have gotten many call backs for other work and referrals.A true professional speaks to prospective customers with respect and tries to explain the proceedure of the repair and why it must be done.Its called honesty and good customer service...think about that also if you are a self employed contractor you should check your attitude and your SPELLING good luck
