We live in the country and we had a skunk problem. It sprayed or dog several times. It turned out to be deer hunting season the last time the skunk sprayed our dog. So we decided to try my husbands deer hunting shampoo & body wash cover scent. IT WORKED with one wash. I couldn't believe it. The smell was instantly gone.
"Scent Away" (made by Hunter's Specialties (its a green color shampoo like Prell shampoo, it has moisturizers in it so it doesn't dry your skin out.)).

YOUR DOG WILL LOVE YOU. Or at least our did. Your dog won't smell like strong perfume fragrances and it wont irritate his skin.
From now on we will have a bottle of "Scent Away Shampoo" in our house.
IT REALLY WORKS. I RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE WHO'S PET HAS BEEN SPRAYED BY A SKUNK OR If THEY HAVE BEEN.
TRUST ME THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE.
All the other remedies are truly crap. Especially the tomato juice.
