A search of the WWW reveals 5 methods of tile removal.
1. Sledge hammer
2. Hammer and carbide tipped tile chisel
3. Tile removal tool, that has a cast iron weight. Costs approx $90 and replacement blades are $40. 149 Tile Removal Tool Cast iron weight on end to break up ceramic tile easy with prying capabilities. A must for removing ceramic tile floors. Replaceable blade for prying/scraping.
