I am in need of finding a easy way to strip my lower great room that is completely paneled. It is hard pine panels which are 6" and like a tung and groove. The Hard part is the color and the shellac they used. It's like an "orange color with a clear put over it which is faded in many areas. I want to use the same panels but don't want to damage them in the process of refininshing them. I also want to bleach or give them a faded white look so the knot show thru. I saw this at a friends house in Maryland and he said it is a process of being bleached or giving it a weathered look. I was overtaken by this idea and fell in love with the way it looks. How can I get this look without killing myself and ripping a hole in my bank account??? Bill from Va.
