Doug is right. I didn't want to say too much because I have a tendency to go into the installation process waaaaaay too ahead of its time. A contractor would most likely be suggesting this 'method'. It looks real nice. If you're gonna do it yourself, have some scraps or similiar-width scrap wood to try this look out. You can start with the 'bad' strips in the box if you're doing this job yourself.
