First, thanks to all for the answers this past year. My question is can 8/3 wire cable be joined in an exterior weather proof junction box? I am running additional service to my garage. I'm putting in a 40 amp subpanel running from the main panel but the cable has to be on the exterior of the house due to layout. I have 2 pieces of 8/3 cable given to me that will be long enough if joined together but am hesitant to do this being an outside junction. Thanks for the help.
