Start with the roof because most of your heat goes up. The attic area can be accessed by cutting a hole in a closet or attached garage. Then you can lay bats or you can have blown in insulation. If you don't have gable or ridge vents plan on that too. Next is the walls and you can cut holes to use blown-in insulation for walls too.
