Cornice

I'm not sure what the item is. Is this like crown molding? If it goes all around the room, seems obvious it will have to be mitered in the corners.
If the directions are for installation after a metal ceiling, wouldn't they be the same without the metal ceiling?
If you have to precisely cut miter corners, you will need a metal cutting power saw, if this is real copper. I have a lot of power tools, butI don't have a metal cutting blade for my mitersaw. The point is that it is an unusual tool.
With all due respect, I get the feeling you are in over your head, and I'm not sure what sort of pro you need to bail you out. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
