It had been on my daughter's floor for 13 years and is just being refinished in the same stuff. But I remember when the contractor put it down. He told me it needed recoated every few years. Said just to damp mop it with Murphy's oil soap. I don't know about the acrylic wax but my son in law is just refinishing the floor and he swears someone put wax on it because it is harder to get up around the edges. I don't really know. I did not. But seems to do well.
