I've got a 1x8x102'' wp board that's going to go over my 6' sliding door. I'm going attach the curtain rod to it. It starts to bow and twist(about 1-12'') where the rod will attach, 12'' in from each end. I'm going to route a 3/8 round detail on the perimiter. I thought about kerfing the ends, but not quite sure about spacing and depth. Nobodys going to see the top of board, so I can kerf to edge and fill in, it's going to be painted. I'll stop 1/2'' from the bottom edge. I was thinking 1/8w x 14d 1'' spacing 18'' in from each end. Is this workable solution?
