replacing a wall oven Posted by Gary on December 5th, 2003 12:18 PM
I am replacing a wall oven copper to copper wiring. I have made many 110 wiring updates, I simply wire black to black, white to white, etc. I was told one time to think of wiring like plumbing, the volts go through the black wire,(hot) and return on the white. I am not sure how 220 works. Do the volts "go through the hot wire and return through white" or is 220 more complicated? If I could visilize the current flow, then I coulfd replace my 25 year old oven? Thabnks in advance for any help! Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
