I found this stuff called Awesome at the dollar store that works really well. My grandmother insisted that I buy some so I did and there is hardly nothing it won't work on. I had soot all over my wall and mantel above our fireplace and it took about 95% off. It amazing what it will clean. Hope I helped. Shannon
