Painting Baseboard Radiators

What type of prep work and paint should be used on baseboard radiators?

I have them off the wall and have roughed them up. Some spots where there was rust is down to the bare metal. What should I prime them with? Should they be etched with a muriatic acid solution before painting? I'd like them to match the walls of the room. Well latex work? Thanks.
