I had to remove some very old paper/plastic fake bricks from drywall and some type of glue was used. So my drywall is really torn with the paper patches all over. I was wondering if there is any drywall paper that can be bought in sheets and put over this and then painted...this may be easier for me than what you describe above.? The section will be an area that will have some furniture in front of it but sections of the wall will still show, so I do need to fix it. Any other suggestions for fixing a fairly large area of torn drywall? Thanks to whomever can advise.
