furnice air duct - noise

Question! The are ducts from our furnace make a lot of noise during the winter season. They crackle very loudly when hot air goes through. You can hear it throughout the house. I guess the hot air causes the sheet metal to expand. Our house is 7 years old and well built - but what can be done about this noise? Anyone have
ideas, suggestions?
