I currently own an Avalon Pellet Stove and I have NEVER been satisfied. I purchased the stove in September 2003. I have been awakened in the night two times in the last week by smoke. My home has been filled with gray smoke to the point that we evacuated the house.I also am finding that I have to clean the stove every couple of days.The Dealer definatly saw me coming. I have used nearly two tons of pellets in two months. I was told I would rarely have to put the stove above medium. I also have had the burnpot fill with pellets and catch fire. I do not recomend buying a pellet stove as your primary heat source,unless of course you enjoy being awoke in the middle of the night by smoke detectors,evacuating your house, and being choked half to death from your soar throat. If anyone has had the same problems please write.
