solvent cleaning

The mineral spirits are a very inexpensive solvent, sold by the gallon in paint and hardware stores. Test an area first. It will not dissolve varnish, but will remove wax and build up. I have not used orange glow very much, but it has solvent cleaners that should also work well to removed darkened oil and wax deposits and would smell better. No disagreement on my part with Rocket Scientist if you want to give it a try.
