Drywall Finishing

Posted by 12vman on December 13th, 2003 05:07 AM

1. I am interested in hearing the opinions from a few folks on Pre-Mixed Joint Compound Vs. DuraBond 90. It seems like the Durabond is easier to work with(less air bubbles, sticks better to paper tape. Can anyone share their experiences? I heard that pre-mixed mud should be used for the final coat as it gives the painted surface the proper tint, is this true?

2. Since I am not a pro at finishing, I do each side of an inside corner separately, allowing the first side to dry before the second. I have4 an inside corner knife but this is a pro's tol only and requires a lot of skill. Can anyone else share their technique for doing inside corners?

TIA,
