Natural gas line

The tee configuration acts like a filter of sorts, 12vman. If a flake of rust or scale or something similar breaks off the inside of the pipe, it tends to be heavier than the gas flows ability to keep it in suspension so it falls into that bottom leg of the tee. OK?
