chack that fence is straight in relation to blade by measureing distance from fence at front of blade to fence , then rear of blade to fence. should be dead on
if not your blade will bind like you says, very dangerious in this condition, gonna kick on you , break your hand
adjust fence as needed. do internet search on adjusting rockwell fence fro info on your particular fence adjustment
