My husband and I just did a "quick fix" in our LR. The drywall that was used is still good, but years of trucks rumbling by on a bumpy road left cracks and seems showing through. We didn't have time or money to redo the whole thing right away, so we used Behr sand paint. White with sand texture. Not the accoustic 'popcorn' look. Less intrusive. Put it up with a rough nap roller and it looks good enough to live with for quite some time. I may not need to replace all the ceilings in my 50 year old home.
