Cinderblock Interior Walls Posted by Bob H on December 16th, 2003 06:35 AM
Just purchased a Manhattan Project home, built in 1944 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The home is cinderblock, and some of the interior walls are dressed with drywall or plaster, while others are just painted cinderblock. In one of the rooms, the paint on the cinderblock is so thick, it's almost like rubber, and has cracked/peeled in several places. What is the best way to prepare these undressed cinderblock walls for painting, and what kind of paint should I use for these walls? These are interior walls, in a heated home (man, heated floors are awesome).
Thanks in advance!
