I would try gently heating it (turn burner on) and "scraping" it off with a used/soft wooden spatula. Then use the special polish or cleaner that's for these tops. However if you really cooked it on there - did you know can melt aluminum on there from a jiffy pop thing - then it may never come off! (Trendy yes, practical no.)
