I , too , remember the old song,'Slap Her Down Again Paw', and I also remember many entertaining evenings watching Arthur Godfrey on t.v. but I didn't realize it was his song.
I play bass fiddle in a blugrass band now , and I would love to have the lyrics to that old song. Merry Christmas and many thanks
