Hey Everyone... Thanks for the info...

I'm not trying to screw the previous owner of the house, but if I would have know about the water issue being this bad I probably wouldn't have bought it because I play drums and that's where I keep them, keeping drums in a damp envirnment isn't a good idea. Anyway... Any idea on the legalities of this?

2ndly, if that's a word... I do have a french drain installed on 1 side of the basement were all the water drains to, is it possible to just divert or drain the water to there without installing a sump pump?

3rd... Water just comes in from 1 side of the basement. Would I need to do the whole perimeter or just that 1 wall?

4th... For the water that's coming up from the center of the floor, is a perimeter drain going to help that?

5th... I did do a closer exam last night after doing some reading, and I think a some of the water coming in is through the walls, running down to the floor. I can follow a few cracks in the walls to the floor. What do I do about that? Again, will the perimeter drain help or do I want to use the water sealing paint stuff? Nobody mention that so I'm thinking it's not a good idea???

Last but not least... The side where the water is coming in, doesn't have any spouting. Before you call me an idiot... It's the side of the house where the peak on the roof is, like the highest spot. So water from the roof is running the other way(s) down the roof to the spoutings. Is there maybe a simplier solution by diverting water from there???
