"em" I believe has posted before with this same question. It is hard to understand how the "turning of a door handle" can be heard through a block wall.
Questions:
Is it a partial block wall?
Is the floor common between the two living areas?
Is the attic open between the two areas?
Please give as much specific information as you can.
