Before you get too far, make sure you read the directions AND the warranty. If the floor is 'touted' to be a floating floor, then follow the instructions. If not, and you float it anyway, you'll void the warranty. BEsides, floating a floor that's NOT meant to float will get damaged in no time.
So I suggest you read first before you end up spending 2x's the $$$. My best to ya and hope this helps.
