i use newspaper, but not one sheet, like the whole thickness of a dailey paper. just open it up, glue and recycle bin
i use the crynoacrlate super-t from sattelite city inc in caslifornia. its crazy glue but thick like honey, longer setup time also. much easyer to work with, gap filling also and much stronger than its thinned out cousin crazy glue. it comes in 4oz bottle that dont clog like crazyglue
