my b-i-l does this for a living. as long as the asbestos intact leave well enough alone. Just install siding over it.
My b-i-l feel people go crazy when they hear asbestos and the fact of the matter it is only in it's naked form that can hurt you. If it has a "cast" type shield over it i would jyust ;eave it alone.
