I have a 70 series softener. I cycles through all modes, has correct flow rates on all cycles, draws brine, etc., but still does not produce soft water. Resin is good, bypass valves are new, salt is being used up. Water flowing to drain during brining tastes salty (like it's supposed to). Replaced rotor and seals. Is it possible that brine flow is not contacting resin, but leaking past distributor/standpipe o-ring? Any help? Thanks.
