I have a Presidential model 7670 having similar problems and now the pilot won`t even stay on. A guy came out and put in a new thermocouple & cleaned a valve on the gas controller and it worked fine for two weeks & went out again. It`s probably the main gas valve control unit that`s worn out - at least I hope that`s my problem since I`m moving from here in a month and DON`T want to have to buy a new furnace !
