I agree with Henry, and suggest you consider going ahead and buying the compressor, hoses and other accessories. Get the one you would want to own, because someday too soon, you will. On that note, you might consider helping your dad get these projects completed. The team effort will be fun and will take the stress of learning the new tools out of the picture. Also, at 85, it helps to have a partner supporting the end of boards and eyeballing the fine cuts.
