My wife and I purchased our first house last year and this stove was downstairs against the brick wall. We do not know if it is a wood burning or coal burning stove. Inside one of the cast iron doors is: Montomery Ward, Chilcago Illinois, 68 6825R. The house was built in 1968. The Stive is black cast iron. We would like to know what it is and if it is usable in todays code. If not we are wondering if it is worth selling. Any help would be appreciated.
