I seem to remember in my real estate studies a mention of the county courthouse as a source of property info. It was some years ago now but I think I remember reading that it was free of charge to examine records of a particualr property, and you can find out about previous owners and remodelling, etc. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
If you're in Canada, www.mls.ca will give you a current listing of homes for sale with price and address, but you have to search by area and # of bedrooms, type of building, and so forth. There is likely an MLS site for the States too, but I don't know where. That's only useful if the property in question is for sale, though. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
